Summary of Duties:
Develops and improves manufacturing process, quality plans, tooling, and all documentation for new and existing parts to achieve maximum utilization and efficiency of human, material, and machine assets. Assist with ongoing automation directives and facility process flow. Considers the safety of personnel, equipment, machinery, and the facility. Address and solve manufacturing problems regarding continuous, on-going improvement of process and methods to increase productivity and quality while reducing cost. Work assignments are of moderate variety and complexity with access to technical guidance of more experienced staff and direct supervision.

Summary of Duties: Measures manufactured components to print specifications. Compiles inspection reports for customers. Inspect machining, fabricated, or assembled parts for defects, and deviations from specifications. Will use precision measuring equipment. Supports production and engineering areas. Performs other duties as assigned.

Summary of Duties: The toolmaker is responsible for working closely with engineering to fabricate, modify, and assemble anything required for both new production parts and improvements on current production. They are also responsible for supporting production with tooling and components need to meet the production schedule and eliminate down time.
Essential Duties:
Education Level: Technical Diploma not required but a PLUS.
Experience: 10+ years of work experience as a machinist / tool maker.
Skills:
• Blueprint reading and understanding tolerance’s in the “tenths” including GD&T
• Strong machining knowledge
• Mechanical aptitude
• Ability to work independently and be a self-starter.
• Organization and punctuality to meet project deadline is a must; self-motivated
• Must have an understanding of common tool terminology such as flute, margins, back relief, rake angle….
• Working knowledge of lathes, mills, and grinding machines. Ability to program and operate CNC machines is a plus.
• Be able to read and interpret precision measuring equipment such as indicators, micrometer
